Follow the team step by step across the Six Foot Track. Our position updates automatically from a Garmin inReach satellite tracker, so the map keeps moving even where there is no phone signal.
Tap the pins to read our messages We send updates from the trail as we go, and each one drops a pin on the map where we wrote it. Tap or click any pin to read what we said.
The tracker goes live when we step onto the trail on Friday 25 September 2026. Check back then to watch our progress.
The map refreshes on its own every few minutes. Pinch or scroll to zoom, and tap a point on the trail to see the time we passed it, or a pin to read a message.
Down off the escarpment at Nellies Glen, out across the Megalong Valley, lunch at Old Ford Reserve.
15.5 kmThe big one. A long grinding climb up to the Mini Mini Saddle and Black Range, with lunch at Alum Creek.
19.5 km · 1,200 m climbA short and very welcome final leg to the finish at Binda Bush Cabins, then a well earned pub lunch.
5 kmWe carry a Garmin inReach Mini. It talks to satellites rather than mobile towers, so it keeps working deep in the Megalong Valley where phones give up.
The device drops a point on the map as we walk. The trail you see building up is exactly where we have been.
Deep gullies and heavy tree cover can block the signal for a while. If the map pauses, we are almost certainly just under the canopy.
Every kilometre on that map is raising money for heart research. If you can chip in whatever you can manage, it goes straight to the cause.
